A Winged Victory For The Sullen

Zoë is performing with acclaimed duo A Winged Victory for the Sullen  for Melbourne Music Week this November.  She performed with Adam Wiltzie's other wonderful project, Stars Of The Lid at The Adelaide Festival this year and it was truly sublime.

This is what the Melbourne Recital Centre has to say about A Winged Victory for the Sullen...
Sweeping guitar atmospheres, the bell-like tones of piano, strings, electronica & spine-tingling effects.
Composer/sound engineer Adam Wiltzie (Transformers: Dark Side of the MoonLike Crazy) and pianist/composer Dustin O'Halloran (Marie AntoinetteLike Crazy) met in Italy, where they bonded over their love of ambient minimalism, joining forces as A Winged Victory for the Sullen.

Resident choreographer at The Royal Ballet (UK) Wayne McGregor played the duo's 2001 self-titled debut album on repeat during rehearsals with his dancers. After witnessing the dancers' instinctive reactions to the music, he contacted the duo to ask if they would compose the score for his new oeuvre - and so A Winged Victory for the Sullen's soon-to-be-released sophomore album Atomos was born. Listen to Atomos here.

Fresh off the back of a European tour, experience A Winged Victory for the Sullen's otherworldly soundscapes, accompanied by a live string quintet in the sonic of Elisabeth Murdoch Hall this November.

It will be beautiful, come along!
